Prairie South Schools would like to thank our partner, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, for providing students from Mortlach, Peacock Collegiate, Kincaid, Rouleau, Assiniboia, Lafleche, Glentworth, and Chaplin, for the opportunity to spend the day working with mentors in the Computer Engineering Technology (CET) department. On October 5th, students were provided the opportunity to learn about various skills and career choices in the field of CET, through engaging and hands-on learning. It was an exciting day for mentors and students to learn and collaborate together. Benefits for students who attended Think CET Career Exploration were:
- Connect and problem solve with industry experts
- Gain hands-on experience using cutting-edge technology
- Explore different areas of employment in Computer Engineering Technology
- Have exposure to possible work opportunities through high school credits and industry programming
- Ask questions about possible career paths in the Computer Engineering Technology field
