Information for High School Students
Students will be allocated classes based on their submitted transcripts and the information they have provided on this application on. Upon arrival, students will be assessed in English. Based on this assessment, students will be registered in appropriate EAL support classes.

Please note that in some cases students are granted a Grade 10 credit from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education, although their level of English might not be high enough to take the Grade 11 credit. If a student's test results indicate a lower level of reading, writing, and comprehension in English, this student will be required to take a literacy class to bridge the gap in their reading, writing and comprehension skills. This takes extra time so the student and family must understand the student might not complete Grades 10, 11 and 12 in three years.

High school students may be charged additional fees to cover the cost of expenses related to a particular class the student is taking or for participation in school activities. These fees will be collected by the school.

Health Care and Accident Insurance Coverage
It is the responsibility of the family to arrange for health care and accident insurance coverage for their child while the child is in Canada.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition Fee: $14,000 CAD per year for a full time, full year student
Kindergarten Tuition: $7,000 CAD per year
$7,000 CAD for a 1 semester high school student

All fees must be paid in full prior to the student being registered in classes.

NOTE: If a student is deemed to require intensive supports, additional fees will be charged to the family. These fees must be paid in advance of the child attending school.
Payment of Tuition by Wire Transfer
Upon acceptance of a student, an acceptance letter, a tuition invoice and wire transfer instructions will be sent for payment of tuition.

Refund Policy
If a student is unable to complete a term, tuition for complete months not attended is refundable at a rate of 1/10 of the annual tuition rate. Refunds are only available before June 30th of the year of attendance.

Parental Consent and Agreement
1. I/we confirm that all information provided in this application is accurate and complete and that inaccuracies in this application may result in a rejection of the application and/or immediate dismissal from Prairie South Schools
2. I/we acknowledge and agree that if my/our child is offered a placement with Prairie South Schools, I/we will be required to complete and provide all of the further information, documentation, and tuition fees requested by Prairie South Schools before the placement will be finalized and my/our child will be entitled to be registered Prairie South Schools. If intensive supports are deemed to be required, the additional fees must be paid in advance of the child registering in school
3. The student and parent warrant that the student has no history of criminal behavior. Any disputes of a legal nature must be resolved through the courts of Saskatchewan
4. I/we acknowledge that our child is in good health and is able to participate in all classes without any additional support (other than English as an Additional Language support)
5. I/we warrant that our child has no special health or learning needs which require intensive supports
6. I acknowledge and agree that the school and grade placement is completely at the discretion of Prairie South Schools, and will be subject to availability of space and resources
7. I/we are responsible for arranging appropriate medical and health care insurance for our child
8. I/we are responsible to ensure that the student or custodian contact Prairie South Schools if the student moves and/or changes custodian
9. I/we have read this application in its entirety and understand and agree to the terms set out in it
