Mossbank School Mathematics Award
History
Having taught in Mossbank for 29 years, half of which was spent teaching senior mathematics, Dale Lawrence wanted to create an award to recognize the significant role of mathematics in high school and beyond. In 2011, Dale Lawrence established this award for a deserving student who has displayed outstanding achievement in his/her mathematics classes. The Mossbank School Mathematics Award is given annually to the student with the highest combined average in two grade ten mathematics classes, two grade eleven mathematics classes, and two grade twelve mathematics classes. These classes must be taken in Mossbank School, or online if the course is not offered in the school.
